Job Vacancy - Sports Tutor - NCFE Level 3 in Sports Coaching and Physical Activity

Launching in partnership with a leading Education provider, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and committed 'Sports Tutor'. This is a unique opportunity to coordinate and deliver a varied NCFE Level 3 in Sports Coaching and Physical Activity to 16-19- year-old students at the YMCA Newark and Sherwood Community and Activity Village.
The role starts as a part-time position (approx 15-19hrs per week) on a fixed-term contract, with the potential to become full-time in Year 2. This is an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate or newly qualified teacher looking to gain a career within the sports and teaching industry following the completion of a teacher training qualification. A teaching qualification is not essential but desirable.

Job Type:
Part-time, Fixed term contract for Year 1
Contract length: 12 months
If successful, the role will increase to a full-time role from Year 2
Pay:
£15,000.00 per year
Earnings to increase in Year 2 as the role will increase to a full-time position

Education:
Undergraduate qualifications in sport-related subject (essential)
Pass (4/5) in English & Maths (essential)
Knowledge of vocational sport subjects (desirable)
Experience:
Working with children & young adults (essential)
Teaching/tutoring experience (desirable)
Sporting coaching experience (desirable)
Working with young people:
No convictions, either prior or pending, that would result in the ability to not work with children or vulnerable adults (required)
DBS/CRB checks will be required
