The YMCA Newark campus is the operational base of the You Can Do Sport Academy. It is where every programme, qualification and development pathway connects. How the Campus Supports the Academy
The academy uses dedicated classrooms for BTEC and academic delivery, full indoor training halls, outdoor spaces for football and multi-sport development, breakout zones for workshops and tutorials, and targeted training spaces used for boxing, conditioning and applied sport sessions. Everything sits within one site, removing wasted travel time and keeping students focused throughout the day.
Students transition directly from education sessions into coaching blocks, recovery periods or practical assessments. Staff work across the same footprint, which creates constant communication between tutors and coaches. This structure allows student performance to be monitored in real time, not just during end-of-term reviews.
