NEW COLLEGE IN NEWARK: YCDS LAUNCHES A NEW COLLEGE MODEL with YMCA, to Enrich Educational and Sporting Opportunities
In an exciting development for youth sports and education, You Can Do Sport (YCDS) Academy is proud to announce its expansion in partnership with the Central YMCA, based in Newark, alongside our continuing collaboration with Magnus Church of England Academy. This expansion is not just a step forward for YCDS but a leap towards providing more inclusive and diverse educational pathways for young athletes in Newark and beyond.
Two Venues, One Vision
YCDS has called Magnus CofE Academy home for five years, nurturing young talent within a sixth-form school environment. Now, we're broadening our horizons to include the YMCA Newark as a second hub for our students. This strategic expansion means that YCDS will operate across two sites, each offering unique benefits to cater to different student needs and preferences.
Magnus CofE Academy remains an integral part of our journey, offering a traditional sixth form within a school setting that many students and parents value for its structure and familiarity. The addition of the YMCA Newark as a new venue introduces a college environment perfect for students seeking a more autonomous learning experience. This dual-site approach ensures that every student finds a path that resonates with their personal and academic aspirations.
Training sessions for both venues are synchronised, ensuring consistent quality and experience across the board in Boxing, Football, Personal Training, and Rowing. This integrated approach allows us to maintain high standards and enables students from both locations to benefit from shared resources and expertise.
